Christmas is a time for miracles. Bad news seems to come at us from every media method including family and friends. It’s hard to think good thoughts, but somehow good news begins to come out and remind us what this season is all about.
There are secret Santas in Massachusetts paying off lay-a-ways in Toys-R-Us stores.The secret Santa in Kansas City, MO that decided to let the police give out the money this year. The people who were pulled over breathed two sighs of relief; one that they weren’t getting a ticket and the other that there would be a Christmas for their family.
The Marines do a spectacular job at collecting toys for boys and girls. People take names on trees and buy the gifts that are listed on the cards so that families can have a Christmas. Finally, there is the “Shop with Cops” that is taking place in many cities throughout the country. The police take a number of children and their parents to Target or Walmart and let them shop with gift certificates.
Yes Virginia there is a Santa Clause.
